I spent the first decade of my career as a middle school teacher, specializing in teaching students with learning disabilities and ADHD. I earned my Master’s in Education from Hunter College in New York City and taught first in the Bronx and then in Cincinnati. I still maintain an Intervention Specialist teaching license in Ohio. My background in education informs my counseling practice; after all, school is where we spend much of our time! I utilize my knowledge and experience to help advocate for my clients and collaborate with school professionals and parents.

In 2020, I decided to make the big leap from teaching to counseling and graduated from Xavier University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program two years later. I interned with a behavioral health team within a pediatrician’s office in Northern Kentucky and continue to work there. With counseling, I feel like I have found my calling. It is a privilege and a joy to get to work with all of my clients and watch the hard work and progress they put into the counseling process.

Here are my current licenses. To check the status of each, go to the respective board’s website and type in my license number.

About Me

Besides counseling, some things I love are: plants, (my) dogs, baseball, knitting/crocheting, gentle yoga, reading, visiting new places, and hiking.
